Emma’s Exercise
“Shell Stretch”

This is also known as “Child’s Pose.”

⚠️*Avoid this pose if you have knee concerns or issues. This is deep knee flexion*⚠️

Prepare to get comfy!
This is not a work pose. Shell Stretch is all about relaxation! You can let your body go in this-as long as it feels good. Stay tuned into your knees, hips and low back.

Gather as many props as you have available before you start. I think one of the funnest parts of this pose is experimenting with ways to go deeper using blankets, bolsters, blocks,etc.
Place the items under your seat, your head, your belly, your heels, etc.

Once you are in the pose breathe heavily and let your body melt. You can practice belly breath here-not much reason to have your core on!
